Fresha alternative
Bookings on your own website, not a marketplace profile
Aystra builds your salon or clinic a real website with online booking built in, then you run it yourself from €39/mo. Flat price, no commission on new clients, your data exportable any day.
Written July 2026. Fresha prices below come from their public pricing page; check them before you decide.
Why owners go looking
Fresha made online booking normal for the beauty industry, and for many businesses it still fits. The owners who leave usually name one of four reasons.
Per-team-member pricing
The subscription is priced per team member. A five-chair salon pays for five seats every month, before add-ons and messages.
The 20% new-client fee
Bookings from the Fresha marketplace carry a 20% new-client fee, minimum around €6. If most of your new clients already come from your Google profile or Instagram, you pay a marketplace price for demand you created.
Booking lives on their page, not yours
Online booking does not embed in your own website. Your site links out to your Fresha profile, and reviews and rebookings accumulate there, under their brand.
Your client list sits in their ecosystem
Client records, visit history, and reviews accumulate inside Fresha. Export exists. But the booking page, the reminders, and the reviews carry their brand, not yours.
Side by side
The honest comparison. These are different products: Fresha is a marketplace with software, Aystra is your own website with the software underneath.

Who should switch, who should stay
Aystra fits you if
- You are an established salon, studio, or clinic with repeat clients and your own name to build
- Most new clients find you through Google, Instagram, or word of mouth, not the Fresha marketplace
- You want one flat monthly cost you can predict
- You want the site, the bookings, the reviews, and the data on your own domain
Fresha still fits if
- You are solo or renting a chair and want zero upfront cost
- The Fresha marketplace genuinely brings you a stream of new clients worth 20%
- You need card terminals and POS hardware from the same vendor
- You want an all-in-one app and the brand on the booking page does not matter to you

Fresha alternative FAQ
Can I move from Fresha to Aystra?
Yes. We rebuild your site with booking built in and move your services, prices, staff, and photos. Export your client list from Fresha and we scope the import as part of the build. Most switches take 2 to 4 weeks.
Do you bring me new clients like the marketplace does?
No. Aystra is not a marketplace. Your own site does that work instead: it ranks on Google for your services, collects reviews on your domain, and takes bookings without a commission.
What does it cost compared to Fresha?
Aystra is a one-time build from €3,500 plus a flat plan from €39/mo. Fresha is €19.95/mo solo or €12.95 per bookable team member (EU, July 2026), plus a 20% fee on new marketplace clients. From about three team members, the flat plan is usually cheaper.
Do I need technical skills to run it?
No. You manage services, staff, bookings, clients, and reviews in a self-serve admin in your language. If you later want changes, we are one person you can talk to, billed by the hour.
Tell us what you are building.
Take the two-minute estimate or send a note. We read it the same day.
